Central Park is among New York City's famous urban parks. The 843-acre rectangle of lush greenery is a welcome change from the regular hustle of city life. It was inaugurated in 1873 with the same intention of brining New York City visitors and the localities close to nature. Central Park of New York City is an ideal place to visit with children. The well-planned and maintained landscaping makes it a delightful place to visit. Central Park also provides numerous facilities and attractions, including the Central Park Carousel, the Marionette Theater, Summer Stage, the Central Park Wildlife Center, the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, the Delacorte Theater, the Great Lawn, the Henry Luce Nature Observatory, Wollman Rink, Lasker Rink, the Loeb Boathouse and the North Meadow. There is a small zoo in Central Park for children as well as adults. A casual sports area for playing and watching a game of basketball and Frisbee besides a swimming pool and various free events. Entry is free. Visitors may take horse drawn carriage rides through the park. Tickets for which are priced as $3.50, Children $0.50 and Senior citizens $1.25.Central Park extends from 59th to 110th Streets, Manhattan, New York City.

Queen's Wildlife Center of New York City is a 11-acre zoo featuring the wildlife of North America and a children's zoo. Exhibit updates have given the Queen's Zoo the feel of a national park. The zoo perimeter is a pathway that leads visitors to pockets of wild habitats, from the Great Plains to the rocky California coast to a Northeast forest. Visitors will get a spectacular view of exquisite American species such as the bison, mountain lions, California sea lions, American bald eagles, Roosevelt elk, and more at Queen's Wildlife Center. Of special notes are both the structures and inhabitants that include "Otis" the famous coyote rescued in Manhattan's Central Park in 1999.

Bronx Zoo is the largest urban zoo in New York City, with more than 4,000 animals in natural habitats. Get an insight into the specially created rain forest populated by nocturnal animals. There are more than 300 animals inclusive of 30 gorillas, meadows and wading pools. Conveniently, located near the New York Botanical Garden. Most popular are the Butterfly Zone and Congo Rain Forest. The Gorilla Forest's at Bronx Zoo, New York City is a 65 acre habitat. It features one of the largest breeding groups of Western lowland gorillas in the USA. An adult must accompany minors. Some activities require an additional fee. Parking is US$7. You may reach Bronx Zoo by taking bus from nearby Botanical, New York City. Admission for Adults is $9.00, Children $5.00 and seniors $5.00.

Six Flags Great Adventure Park:- This is one of the most popular theme parks in the city of New York and many the rides carry a theme, most of which are either movie or cartoon related. There is a lot to see and do here, and riding every ride will probably take more than a single day.
