Upper East Side: Upper East Side is an up market located in New York City. It covers the 57th and 72nd Streets and Madison and Lexington avenues. You will find many chic clothing boutiques and designer stores here. Madison Avenue of New York City boasts of its clothes being featured in the pages of Vogue and W. These places are up market, stylish and very expensive. Along, the small side streets you'll see quaint brownstones, antique shops and art galleries that are more affordable. Prices and snootiness tend to fall as you head north and east have more modest and affordable clothing, house ware, electronics and music stores.



Upper West Side: Upper West Side is a popular up market located New York City. It covers Broadway and Columbus Avenues. Broadway, especially between 72nd Street and 86th Street, is mostly home to upscale designer stores such as Gap, Banana Republic, Barnes and Noble, Coach, Steve Madden and others.

Columbus Avenue: Columbus Avenue is skewed more toward small, expensive boutiques, specialty shops and ritzy eateries. Some especially popular neighborhood spots are the I.S. 44 Flea Market and Zabar's, the city's finest gourmet food store.

5th Avenue: 5th Avenue is a popular fashion market located in New York City. It covers areas such as Central Park South (59th Street) to 42nd Street.5th Avenue, New York City has a dazzling lineup of the world's most famous stores and designer boutiques including Henri Bendel, Harry Winston, Tiffany, F.A.O. Schwarz and Bergdorf Goodman. 57th Street is another popular lane in this area which houses the Trump Tower, noted for its gold front and interior cascading waterfall.

SoHo and Tribeca: SoHo and Tribeca is a popular market area located in south of Houston Street ,New York City. (SoHo is short for South of Houston; TriBeCa -- is short for Triangle Below Canal Street.) SoHo and Tribeca, New York City are popular for the art galleries, up-and-coming clothing designers and innovative jewelry creators. Bakeries, bistros and unusual food shops are found on every corner.

South Street Seaport: South Street Seaport is a shopping area located at Fulton Street, New York City. It is not only a shopping mall but a museum too. There’s an array of up market jewelry stores, designer stores and boutiques selling fabulous clothes range, accessories, jewelry and electronic goods. Ann Taylor, Gap and Banana Republic are just some of the retailers lending their names to this marvelous shopping area. Do stop by and take home a souvenir.

Greenwich Village/East Village of New York City has small streets that are overflowing with shoe stores, Indian import shops, CD stores, bookstores and punk-clothing boutiques. You can make some really good purchases if you venture off onto side streets, especially in the East Village, New York City. The East Village tends to have smaller, funkier, more independent shops. The West Village tends to be a little more pricey and upscale, and more chain stores abound there.
